On the run with his mum, Monty arrives at a caravan park in bum-fuck nowhere ‘SUGAR PINE FALLS’ where he meets the dark and broody James. Forced into an awkward friendship by their overbearing mothers, Monty and James form a unique connection that takes them both on a mysterious journey. Will they run away together or will dark events leave them taking care of their mothers in SUGAR PINE FALLS?

David Shane Morris is an award-winning filmmaker, who has experience across the many aspects of film production.
As a Writer and Director he has a handful of short-films and a soon to be released web-series under his belt. When David throws his hat into the ring as a Producer, he offers a great deal of empathy and creative guidance, drawing from his own experiences on-set both behind and in-front of the camera.
His academic resume consists of a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Monash University and Masters of Film & Television Directing at the Victorian College of the Arts, where he was the recipient of two Arts Victoria scholarships; the Scholarship for Outstanding Graduate (2014) and the Global Atelier Travel Scholarship (2014).
He was also selected to represent the school of Film and Television in Suzhou, China on a 17 day documentary making intensive (Looking China 2014).
He strives to make video based works where art practice and narrative storytelling intertwine into something beautiful, poetic and thought provoking.
